ingredients
1/2 orange, cut into 8 wedges
1/2 lemon, cut into 4 wedges
1 lime, cut into 8 wedges
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups inexpensive red wine
1 1/4 cups sauza tequila blanco (or other tequila blanco)
1 cup cointreau (or other orange liqueur or triple sec)
preparation
with a wooden spoon or muddler, mash together the orange, lemon and lime slices with the sugar.
add the wine and tequila and mix well, making sure all sugar is dissolved
for each drink, place 3/4 cup ice and cover with sangria rita mixture. shake vigorously until shaker is very, very cold. pour everything including ice and any mashed fruit into a glass.
